The Story Behind the Lens
In April 2013, my father, Domenic, and I embarked on a classic coastal California road trip, making our way south toward Phoenix. After flying in from Toronto, we spent three amazing days soaking in the vibrant energy of San Francisco. No trip to San Francisco can be complete without a pilgrimage to the Golden Gate Bridge.
On the early morning of April 6th, guided by our trusty Garmin GPS module, we found ourselves standing beneath the colossal steel towers of the bridge. We were immediately greeted by San Francisco’s legendary morning fog - which provided a sense of calm and quiet.
As the sun rose and the foggy blanket disippated, we were lucky to capture this iconic image of a quintessential American landmark. Only 98 prints will ever be made of our perspective of this American architectural marvel.
